The Carlton-Marion Inn is a dream come true for Glenda & Ken. As they say, “we love to have guests at our home”.
Having spent a lifetime in their respective careers and raising a family that now includes four grown children and nine grand-children, they started talking about how they wanted to spend their retirement years. As they talked about their dreams, they talked of wanting to meet new people. They talked of being hosts to their friends and guests in their home, of living in a rural area in the mountains. And after a number of these intimate discussions, they finally decided it was time to pursue their lifelong dreams. |

You'll quickly find that they make every effort to make you feel like a “welcomed guest” while you're here.
Prior to moving to the area, Glenda & Ken lived in Atlanta, Georgia and prior to that, Natchitoches, Louisiana. Ken is a retired building contractor and Glenda had a career in accounting and administration. She also has a natural love for decorating and making guests “feel at home”. Both of their childhoods and careers endeared them with a fascination for travel, meeting new people and a desire to live a slower lifestyle in a rural area in the mountains. The Carlton-Marion Inn is the realization of those dreams.
